Our Story
My daughter and I started Njovu after a family mission trip to Uganda with Sweet Sleep. God truly gave us a heart for the people and the country. Many of the women in Uganda are in a cycle of poverty resulting in inability to feed and educate their children. During that trip we had the privilege to spend time with the women in the co-ops. These women were strong, hardworking, humble and simply inspiring. They were grateful for the opportunity to provide for their children and to help each other in a community. Perhaps the most important aspect was the return of human dignity. My daughter, Isa, and I started selling elephant pants to raise funds for these women. Your purchase will help to further empower the women of Uganda as all of our profits will go to fund additional co-ops.
